At Desert Vista, we believe that life is best done together! So we want to encourage you to check out one of our Winter 2008 LifeGroups.
LifeGroups are groups of 12-15 people that get together each week in a convenient Scottsdale location to meet new people, learn something new and have fun. It's a great way to make friends while growing in your faith. LifeGroups are built on authentic friendships that help every member to know God better and fulfill their life purpose.
Winter LifeGroups will begin the week of January 20 and continue through the week of March 9.

Winter Semester - January 20 through March 9
#208 Leaders: Wes and Tonya Edwards Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Raintree and Frank Lloyd Wright

Go Fish Fishing stories. We've all heard them. "It was this big." "You should have seen the one that got away." People love to tell stories of their fishing adventures. When it comes to faith, however, most people clam up. Why is it we can't talk about what God has done in our lives as naturally as we can spin fishing tales? Explore the motivation behind sharing your faith and how it can become a natural part of your life. Cost: $10 for book.

Connecting in Christ Love is not always the first thing that springs to mind when unbelievers think about Christians. And yet our mandate from Jesus is simple: “Love one another as I have loved you.” This LifeGroup series, Connecting in Christ Together, will help you come to grips with Jesus’ love for you and explore how you can follow his example. Cost:$10 for book.

Experiencing God (2-semester LifeGroup: January 20 through May 24, with a three-week break in the middle) Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God will help you learn to hear when God is speaking to you, encourage you to find out where God is working in the world around you so that you can join him, and therefore experience Him working through you in ways only God can. A workbook that can change your life, Experiencing God leads you in an exploration of the seven vital aspects of your relationship with God: knowing, loving, hearing, joining, believing, obeying and experiencing. Cost: $15 for workbook.
#608 Leader: Jennifer Chun Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00 p.m. Hayden and Chaparral (south Scottsdale)
Financial Peace University (2-semester LifeGroup: January 20 through May 24, with a three-week break in the middle) Did you know that money and possessions are among the most talked about subjects in the Bible? This LifeGroup will experience the teaching of Dave Ramsey via his DVD-based Financial Peace University. In this fun and entertaining format, you will gain the tools to live in financial peace and in obedience to God. Plus pay off debt, save for emergencies, a new car, a house or education, prepare for retirement and learn to live debt-free. Whatever your financial goals, age, or current financial situation, this LifeGroup is for you. Cost: $90 per family for complete kit.
