Children's Ministry
Children are precious. That is why we are very particular about those who care for and teach your children. All those who work with children at Desert Vista have undergone background and reference checks to insure safety and give you peace of mind as you entrust them to our care.
Our Nursery is staffed with caring people who have a heart for little ones. They provide excellent, loving care for your babies and toddlers during the worship experience each Sunday. You can relax knowing that your newborn through age 2 children are experiencing a safe and stimulating environment.
If your children are ages 3 through 5, then they are welcome to attend our Preschool group that also takes place during each Sunday worship experience. Preschoolers have fun while they take a first look at their Heavenly Father. Games, activities, snacks and Bible stories are all facets of the Preschool experience.
Current Preschool Focus:
Preschoolers will have fun playing age appropriate games and learning the Life Verse in fun, action-oriented ways. In August your kids will learn about courtesy and that God can help them to remember to say, “please” and “thank you” to everyone they meet.
The energy heightens in KidZone. Kids that are kindergarten through sixth grade meet during the worship experience and are exposed to timeless truths in the bible. Each month the kids learn about a core virtue that will help them make better choices as they grow up. By the use of different media, skits, activities and games, your elementary child will have fun learning while making friends with others.
Current KidZone Focus:
During August, kids will learn about Southern hospitality, grace and manners from a Georgia peach. Kids will discover that basic courtesy is the willingness to put other people and their needs before their own. Their Life Verse comes from Luke 6:31, “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”
